I definitely recommend going here. But the service is not that grate when they are supper busy. But other than that it has really good food.
The best chili Rellenos ever! These are the original type all original Mexican restaurants served and they are not easy to find. Thank you for continuing to serve them and please never stop!!
Taxco. A Buckhead tradition. I have gone there for the last 30 years. What I can count on is their enjoyable food, a wonderful group of servers and the friendly ambience. Everyone does their best!
Is Taxco on the level of top end restaurants in the city? No. But that's not why you come here. Taxco is your go to local tex mex spot with great deals. Chips and salsa are great, queso's are great, diverse Mexican beer menu, full assortment of Tex Mex entrees, and the soup is fantastic. Where it really shines is the value. literally the only Mexican place you can get in and out of under $25 for two these days. Also, the cheat code is weekend lunch special! No one does lunch specials anymore but you know who does? Taxco. Again, it's not going to blow your mind but for the value it can't be beat in tex mex.
Ok, so first off...Taxco is a city in Mexico... They did not misspell or get creative with the word "Taco" lol. Listen... This is traditional Mexican food, which I am a lover. Their prices are pre-inflation, YOU HEAR ME! I am talking $15 46oz Monster Margarita...There where no typos... $4-$20 entrees and appies... Like come on! $60 for two meals and a 46oz Monster ... This is one of my favorite places to wait out traffic. Now every time I go, their are always screaming babies or out of control children... But eh, that just means the place is family friendly and offers alcohol to help tune them out lol. This is a nice little gem packed with tradition.
I always wanted to try this place. I ride by it daily on Roswell Rd. The place is always packed on the patio. I ordered food to go. Food was flavorful and great portions for the amount of money spent. I want to go back and sit down. The margarita's that other customers had look delicious and good. My food was awesome . I had the Tres Nachos and it had steak, chicken and shrimp and came with sour cream and guacamole on the side. The other dish was burrito. It was good from how it looked . I did not have any of the burrito . Check out the pictures for yourself. This will be my Taco Tuesday Spot going forward
